I'm Eleanor Brittany, and welcome to the August 23, 2024 edition of The TrekConvention Podcast's Five Trek Headlines to Watch. The TrekConvention podcast where I highlight five Trek Headlines you may have missed.
So, let's get to it!
Number One:
According to Heroes and Icons TV "LEONARD NIMOY WANTED TO PLAY SPOCK FOREVER." And I for one am perfectly fine with that.
Number Two:
The Saavik character is often overlooked by fans and the Trek franchise but as ScreenRant points out "Spock's Star Trek Resurrection Wouldn't Have Lasted Without Saavik."
Number Three:
If you loved the dry and often sarcastic wit of Star Trek Lower Decks then TrekMovie has potentially good news. They report a 'Live-Action Star Trek Comedy, Inspired By Standalone Character Episodes, Especially From DS9 is in the making. But there's no word on when it'll hit your favorite streaming platform.
Number Four:
I love starships, and I suspect you do too. Which means you'll love GameRants list of the "10 Coolest Starships From Star Trek Deep Space Nine."
And finally, Number Five:
Red Alert! Red Shirts Always Die has announced "The complete cast list for Star Trek Starfleet Academy is official." I have to admit the more I hear about Star Trek Academy the more excited I get for the premiere.
And that's all for this episode of the TrekConvention Podcast's 5 Trek Headlines to Watch.
You can find all these articles and the latest updates at TrekConvention.com and, of course, at TrekHeadlines.com.
I'm Eleanor Brittany. Be sure to check back next week for five more to watch.
Until next time, go boldly.
