Upcoming Trek and pop-culture fan events and conventions with our favourite Trek headlines.

I'm Eleanor Brittany, and welcome to the July 19 2024 edition of The TrekConvention Podcast's Five Trek Headlines to Watch. The TrekConvention podcast where I highlight five Trek Headlines you may have missed.

So let's get right to it!

Number One:

Love or hate the Discovery season one Klingons, Soneequa Martin Green discloses in ScreenRant's feature that the actors were in Nothing but pain. And while Klingons embrace pain, actors are a different breed and have my undying appreciation.

Number Two:

As anyone will tell you, I love me a good coffee table book. And Red Shirts Always Die has an "Exclusive excerpt from Star Trek The Illustrated Oral History The Original Cast" and I'm already saving up for the day of release.

Number Three:

Den of Geeks reports that "Star Trek Prodigy Wants to Be More Than Just a Voyager Sequel" which is perfect because that's exactly what I want as well.

Number Four:

Nemesis may have been a bit of a mish -mash but Patrick Stewart tells Red Shirts Always Die that saying goodbye after Star Trek Nemesis was both "aagonizing" and "terrifying."

And finally, Number Five:

The big Creation Entertainment Trek celebration in Las Vegas is only 2 weeks away. And we've updated the TrekConvention site with all the details we have so far, with useful links and more. So visit TrekConvention.com when you get a chance. And we hope to see you there.

And that's all for this episode of the TrekConvention Podcast's 5 Trek Headlines to Watch.

You can find all these articles and the latest updates at TrekConvention.com and, of course, at TrekHeadlines.com

I'm Eleanor Brittany. Be sure to check back next week for five more to watch. And if you're going to the Trek celebration in Las Vegas say hello to Bill for me. And wish him a happy birthday.

If you still haven’t listened to July's full episode, look us up, it's well worth a listen.

Until next week, go boldly.
