I'm Eleanor Brittany, and welcome to the July 12 2024 edition of The TrekConvention Podcast's Five Trek Headlines to Watch. The TrekConvention podcast where I highlight five Trek Headlines you may have missed.

So let's get right to it!

Number One
Did you remember that LeVar Burton voiced a character on The Batman The animated series? Well, I didn’t. But thanks to FandomWire you can read all about it in their featured article "LeVar Burton Role Everyone Forgets." And rest assured there will be a quiz.

Number Two:
A Tarantino Star Trek film is a bit of a lightning rod for fans. movieWeb asks "Are you disappointed that Quentin Tarantino abandoned Star Trek?" Be sure to let us know. I'm curious to hear what the fans have to say.

Number Three:
If you've ever noticed the similarities between Riker and Kirk, this article "Kirk & Riker Both Romanced Murderers" from ScreenRant will make the parallels between the characters even more clear.

Number Four:
I loved him in Fringe. Jenna loved him in The Lord of the Rings. But if you're having trouble placing his face or voice, ScreenRant can help. Their article "John Noble Where You've Seen & Heard Prodigy's Diviner Actor Before" will answer all your questions.

And finally, Number Five:
Personally I rather like the struggles of Captain Pike. But if you feel the need to save the Enterprise’s Captain, Redshirts Always Die may have the lifeline you're looking for, with their feature "Star Trek Strange New Worlds could save Captain Pike without breaking canon."

And that's all for this episode of the TrekConvention Podcast's 5 Trek Headlines to Watch.

You can find all these articles and the latest updates at TrekConvention.com and, of course, at TrekHeadlines.com

I'm Eleanor Brittany. Be sure to check back next week for five more to watch. And if you're going to the STLV Trek celebration in Las Vegas, say hello to Bill for me.

And if you haven’t listen to this month’s full episode, July is now live - and well worth the wait.

Until next week, go boldly.
