I'm Eleanor Brittany, and welcome to the May 24 2024 edition of The TrekConvention Podcast's Five Trek Headlines to Watch. The TrekConvention podcast where I highlight five Trek Headlines you may have missed.

So, let's get to it!

Number One:
I really enjoyed the 2004 Battlestar Galactica reboot, despite its dark tones. I was surprised to see how much overlap there is between Star Trek and the BSG reboot. ScreenRant has a great feature, “All 9 Battlestar Galactica 2004 Actors Who Also Appeared In Star Trek’ that explores this intersection in detail.

Number Two:
Our friends at Red Shirts Always Die reports that “The White House was petitioned to build a Star Trek Enterprise.” Not only did I not know this, but I’m sad we didn’t build it.

Number Three:
While the writing credit and the path to production are complicated, ScreenRant outlines ‘Why Star Trek’s “City On The Edge Of Forever” Is So Important.” And for hard core Sci-fi fans like me, it’s a classic.

Number Four:
Despite the name, bad things don’t always happen in the badlands. ScreenRant’s feature “8 Important Star Trek Events That Happened In The Badlands’ has all the details.

And finally, Number Five:
As a longtime lover of books and an avid collector in general, I loved the Eternal Archive. Trek Movie takes you ‘Inside How ‘Star Trek Discovery’ Transformed A Toronto University Library Into The Eternal Archive.” And now I need to fly to Canada.

And that's all for this edition of the TrekConvention Podcast's 5 Trek Headlines to Watch.

You can find all these articles and the latest updates at TrekConvention.com and, of course, at TrekHeadlines.com.
