Eleanor Brittany:

I'm Eleanor Brittany and welcome to the February 23, 2024 episode of the Trek Convention Podcast's 5 Trek Headlines to watch, where I highlight 5 Trek headlines you may have missed. So let's get to it. Number 1. The crossover episode of Strange New Worlds was terrific and it sounds like it won't be the last. Mike McMahon and Torney Newsom tease unexpected cameos in Crazy Star Trek Lower Decks, season 5, according to Trek Movie, and I can hardly wait.

Eleanor Brittany:

Number 2. I've had my tricorder for years and I'm always finding new functions. If you'd like to learn more about your tricorder, check out Trek Cultures video 10 things you didn't know about tricorders and rediscover what you love about them. Number 3. If you're like me, you hate seeing the Enterprise blow up, and if you're in the mood to watch a Trek movie where the Enterprise doesn't blow up, screen Rant has you covered with their feature. Only 5 Star Trek movies didn't destroy the Starship Enterprise, so relax and enjoy.

Eleanor Brittany:

Number 4. Quiz time. If you remember the days when the classic Star Trek cast would often appear in random TV ads, heroes and icons quiz can you tell what the cast of Star Trek is selling in these vintage ads will be right up your alley. And finally, number 5. Todd Stashwick's Captain Shaw was a breakout character in Star Trek Picard and a fan favorite. His character's fate was a real blow to Picard fans, but Screen Rant reports Star Trek Picard's Shaw is quote spark dead and would return if a legacy spin-off happens, which is music to my ears. And that's all for this episode of the Trek Convention Podcast's 5 Trek Headlines to Watch. You can find all these articles and the latest updates at TrekConventioncom and, of course, at TrekHeadlinescom. I'm Eleanor Brittany. Be sure to check back next week for 5 more to watch. Until next time, go boldly.
